Chapter AwardsAGC of America has established several award programs to recognize the achievements of its local chapters. This year's awards will be presented at AGC's Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, March 10-14, 2008. Chapter of the Year Awards ProgramsAGC annually recognizes chapters with four awards: Small Chapter of the Year, Large Chapter of the Year, James E. Cashman Trophy, J. Howard Mock Award. Small Chapter of the Year and Large Chapter of the YearChapter of the Year has two categories of eligibility based on the annual budget of the Chapter. The Small Chapter of the Year Award will be given to one chapter with a budget below $750,000, and the Large Chapter of the Year Award will be given to one chapter with a budget over $750,000. The winning chapter receives a beautiful polished pewter trophy on a wooden base with a cast plaque. Both the Chapter President and Executive receive a large framed certificate acknowledging their contributions. James E. Cashman TrophyThe James E. Cashman Trophy is for the most effective membership growth program. This beautiful trophy has been presented to deserving chapters for more than a half century. J. Howard Mock AwardAll chapters compete for this award for the best overall net growth in membership. 811 Awareness Campaign AwardAGC is encouraging its chapters to enhance local one-call awareness as well. A $5,000 award will be given to the AGC chapter with the best 811 awareness campaign. Chapter Diversity AwardThe AGC of America Diversity Award Program has been developed to encourage more chapters to participate in a diversity program in their chapters. The goal of the awards is to communicate that AGC promotes the growth and development of small, minority and women-owned businesses, and seeks to increase their participation in the industry and the association. Chapter Public Relations AwardsThe Chapter Public Relations Awards recognize top chapter achievements in public relations during the calendar year of 2007. |
