AGC is working to address the employment challenges employers face in the construction industry.  Ensuring a strong and skilled workforce is important for the industry and is not possible without enacting a comprehensive national immigration reform policy and reasonable and achievable health care reform among other Human Resource issues faced daily by construction contractors.

Under Executive Order signed June 6, 2008 Federal Contractors would be required to use the E-Verify system, formerly known as Basic Pilot, to check the status of new hires and others working on federal projects in the U.S.
