Best Information Technology Solutions
Is your company using technology or the internet in innovative ways?
Introducing AGC Members to the cutting edge of workable technology solutions at the Annual Convention.
A panel of three judges will select the top three BITS, with the grand prize
winner receiving a laptop computer and free registration for two to AGC’s Annual
Convention in Honolulu, Hawaii in March 2010. Entries will be evaluated based
on how well the technology is utilized to improve or enhance the construction
firm’s business. Prizes will also be awarded to 2nd and 3rd place winners.
To enter the contest, an entrant
must be an AGC Contractor or Specialty Contractor firm and be available
to make its presentation at the Annual Convention. Be recognized by your
peers as someone who is utilizing the Best of Technology ideas and practices
in your AGC Member firm.

BITS Rules
To qualify, an entrant must be:
- An AGC Contractor or Specialty Contractor firm.
- Present in for their presentation.
Additional Information:
- Finalists will be selected by the EIS Committee in the beginning of each year.
Finalists will be notified soon thereafter.
- All entries submitted in past BITS may resubmit for this years contest.
- If the material submitted in addition to the online entry is not readable,
the EIS Committee may allow a correction to be re-submitted before December 31.
Each entry must include the following:
- The entry form must be submitted online by the close of business,
December 31.
- A written summary of the Information Technology being utilized or
implemented by the company. The contractor must demonstrate a time-value
benefit and/or improvement, and the resulting monetary enhancement to the Contractors business.
- An itemized list of the hardware, equipment, devices, accessories,
cabling, software, programs, services, and/or websites, which are needed to
operate the Best Information Technology Solution Entry.
- In addition to submitting the online entry, competitors are encouraged to
submit other material such as pictures, diagrams, or
multimedia materials to better demonstrate the BITS entry. Such materials must
be sent on CD or DVD to AGC of America by close of business, December 31. There will be no exceptions.
