Diversity & Inclusion

AGC's Commitment

AGC of America remains committed to fostering inclusion and belonging in construction. Our Culture of CARE program helps firms build safer, more welcoming, and productive workplaces—free from quotas or mandates—by valuing every worker. This voluntary, business-driven program strengthens teams, improves retention, and enhances job site safety.

Addressing current and future labor shortages requires recruiting and retaining more underrepresented groups in high-paying construction careers. Based on President Trump’s executive order on federal DEI programs, we are reviewing our Diversity & Inclusion and Culture of CARE resources for compliance. This process may take time, and we appreciate your patience.

Our commitment to an inclusive, respectful construction industry remains unchanged. We will keep you updated and continue advocating for a strong, skilled, and diverse workforce. Please reach out with any questions.

AGC Diversity & Inclusion Forum

Join the Forum Email List Here

AGC welcomes all members and chapter staff who have an interest in construction industry diversity & inclusion issues to join the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Forum. The D&I Forum is an online, email community that enables AGC members to connect with each other, keep pace with the latest construction D&I developments, solve problems and share best practices. Participation in the Forum is not a volunteer opportunity and requires no commitment to attend meetings or serve on the D&I Committee. But it ensures prompt notification of such opportunities when they arise.

AGC Diversity & Inclusion Roundtable

AGC brings together industry leaders annually to address pivotal aspects of fostering diversity & inclusion within the construction industry. The D&I Roundtable is a full day of interactive, peer-to-peer discussions designed for individuals working for construction firms who are responsible for their company's diversity & inclusion efforts. There are no formal presentations; attendees set the agenda based on topics, challenges, or best practices they would like to discuss. Each roundtable is limited to 40 participants.

See below a recap from previous D&I Roundtables:
