WebEd: Facilitating the Lego Exercise/BIM Project Team Activity in Unit 3 of the Third Edition of AGC's BIM Education Program

Description:

This session will guide instructors through the set up and facilitation of the new Lego (BIM Project Team) Activity. Benjamin Crosby, the creator of the activity, and field test instructor Dan Russell, will discuss the origins and evolution of the activity and describe how to successfully set up and navigate students to maximize the learning potential and create teachable moments that simulate the construction project team environment.

  • Attendees will learn how to prepare and conduct the BIM Project Team Activity/ Lego Exercise for the revised Unit 3 course in the AGC Building Information Modeling Education Program.

Benjamin Crosby

Benjamin is the Director of BIM (Building Information Modeling) / VDC (Virtual Design and Construction at Yates Construction. He is responsible for taking Yates' BIM program to the highest level, and producing the best available cost savings to clients. His passion for efficiency and productivity, led him to BIM and VDC, and earned him the nickname "BIMjamin".

Dan Russell
Director of Construction Technology

Sundt Construction, Inc.
Dan is Director of Construction Technology Sundt Construction, and is also a contributor and instructor to AGC's BIM Education Program. He taught the field test of the 3rd edition of the BIM Education Program.
Jonathan Widney
President

Solibri LLC
Jonathan is the president of Solibri LLC and has written multiple units of the AGC BIM Education Program as well as third edition courses. He is both a contributor and instructor of the BIM Education Program and taught the field test of all third edition courses.

AGC of America WebEd Cancellation & Refund Policy: 

If you will not be able to attend an AGC of America WebEd program for which you have already registered, you may qualify for a refund of your registration fee or be able to substitute another employee within your organization. If you cancel your registration at least ten (10) days prior to the webinar, AGC of America will provide a full refund. No refund will be provided if you do not meet this deadline, however you may transfer your registration to another employee within your organization. AGC of America will provide all registrants with a recording of the webinar and the PowerPoint slides following the program.
