Jim Goss, Senior Safety Consultant

Jim Goss is a Senior Safety Consultant at HCSS with over 30 years of safety experience, 25 of which have been focused on Construction Safety. He is an OSHA-certified instructor for the OSHA Training Institute, teaching various construction subjects across North America, and is also a certified NAVFAC trainer for the EM 385.1-1 Construction Safety Hazard Awareness Training. Jim serves on the National Underground Contractors Association’s National Safety Committee and as Chairman of Government Affairs for the AGC National Safety Committee. Additionally, he co-chairs the AGC Crane Task Force and is a national stakeholder in crane safety, while also contributing to several AGC safety task forces and serving as a national safety instructor for various construction topics.
Barry Morris, SMP, CHST, & CUSP, Director of Environmental Health and Safety

Barry Morris, a retired military veteran with over 20 years of service, has built a distinguished career in the renewable energy and construction industries since transitioning in 2005. Specializing in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management, he started in wind turbine construction and safety training, eventually overseeing safety programs for wind plants across the U.S. and training thousands in wind and solar industries. From 2015 to 2017, he worked as an HSEQ Specialist for a utility company managing EHS compliance for 18 wind plants. Between 2018 and 2023, Barry led safety programs for a billion-dollar construction firm’s renewables and solar divisions and contributed to industry groups like the American Clean Power Association. In May 2023, he became Director of EHS and Training at Tri-State Drilling, where he continues to foster a culture of safety and operational excellence.
