Description:
How often have you heard about Lean construction and Lean culture and thought, “What’s in that black box of Lean?” or “I’m a strong superintendent or project manager, I already do that!” Whether you’re a Lean-savvy professional or just starting on your Lean journey, there’s something in this webinar for you. The essence of Lean is to develop people and empower those talented people to develop a continuous improvement system to add value and eliminate waste in their companies and on their projects.
In this webinar, Sue Klawans, Vice President of Corporate Director of Operational Excellence and Planning for Gilbane Building Company and Wendell Barnes, Senior Business Consultant for Gilbane Building Company share their expertise from Gilbane’s Lean journey and demonstrate the application of Lean techniques in the field. Project examples and results of project managers and superintendents who have added value by applying Lean to safety, planning, trade coordination, prefabrication, and quality will be used. Learn tools and apps that can be used to gain efficiencies and eliminate waste. Presenters will provide recommendations for further learning. At the end of this webinar, attendees should have at least one short-term takeaway that they can implement promptly to improve their project and one bigger idea to plan to implement in the future.
