Inaugural IT Forum Conference a Success at the Kansas City Builders' Association Chapter

In conjunction with the Electronic Information Systems (EIS) committee, AGC convened its first IT Forum conference on August 14 at the Kansas City Builders' Association Chapter.  More than 60 technology leaders from AGC's member companies attended this one-day conference held at the Hutton Conference Center, the hi-tech training facility located at the Chapter's Education & Training Center in North Kansas.  EIS Committee Chair Tary Carlson, Kansas City Chapter executive director Don Greenwell president Craig Simon welcomed the attendees. There were featured presentations on SharePoint, Disaster Recovery and Virtualization and its influence on the construction industry. Two breakout roundtable forums provided participants the opportunity to share and discuss issues that they face at their firms.  Participants left with invaluable knowledge that they can take back to their jobs and implement.  AGC and the EIS committee are looking forward to another successful conference in 2010. A note of thanks to Don Greenwell and his staff (Ryan Johnson, Matt Scanlon and Joe Pink), who were incredibly gracious hosts and offered their training facility for this conference.  Their participation helped in the successful outcome of the conference.
