AGC Member Robert Fritz Wins Charter School’s Service Award

Robert Fritz, vice president of Clayco, recently was presented with the Construction Careers Center’s (CCC) Outstanding Service Award for his deep commitment and devotion to the center. Founded by the AGC of St. Louis and the St. Louis Construction Industry, the CCC is a public, independent, tuition-free high school committed to preparing interested St. Louis High School students with the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed for entry into a career pathway in the St. Louis construction industry. According to the St. Louis Chapter, Bob Fritz has given a tremendous amount of energy and resources to the development of the CCC. He has encouraged and motivated CCC students to plan and construct a sports field at the school, as well as design and help construct a storage area for shop materials. He has served as a member and vice chairman of the CCC Board of Education and provided leadership to develop a multi-media fund-raising video for the AGC of St. Louis Education Foundation, on which he serves, and to establish an endowment for the CCC. He also serves as a member of AGC of America’s Workforce Development Committee and sits on the LIUNA Training and Education Fund (formerly known as the Laborers-AGC Education and Training Fund). Clayco is a design/build and construction firm with headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri that operates nationwide. In 2009, Engineering News-Record named Clayco the nation’s 24th-largest design builder and the 96th-largest U.S. contractor.
