GSA To Deliver Federal Projects $565 Million Under Budget

The General Services Administration was assigned $5.5 billion worth of construction projects under the Recovery Act – of that, more than a half billion dollars has been saved and is set to be redistributed to other very necessary federal projects. According to an article in Federal Times, AGC's chief economist Ken Simonson attributes GSA’s ability to cut spending to the economic downturn, as construction companies are bidding more aggressively and at lower prices just to secure work.
