AGC of America Recognizes Alabama and Pennsylvania Chapters

Alabama AGC and the Constructors Association of Western Pennsylvania were recognized during AGC's 92nd Annual Convention in Las Vegas for their emphasis on workforce development, and growth and leadership on legislative and regulatory issues. Alabama AGC was named the “Large Chapter of the Year” and was recognized for a first-of-its-kind public relations campaign, designed to showcase the importance of construction and attract new workers. The chapter also continued providing exceptional member tools, such as the Best Management Practices guide for commercial contractors, which meets requirements for the Alabama Department of Environmental Management. Constructors Association of Western Pennsylvania took “Small Chapter of the Year” for its outstanding work force development programs, including participation in “Careers Under Construction” day at the Central Westmoreland Career & Technology Center, which allowed members to provide students with hands-on experience using heavy equipment. The chapter also participated in its fifth Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh Project, which helped make improvements to the home of a family in need.
