Leadership in Construction Workshop: Back by Popular Demand

In an industry that is experiencing workforce shortages, skyrocketing material and fuel costs, incredible technology advancements and numerous other obstacles and opportunities, today’s construction leaders need to be able to see the big picture while building and motivating team members. Join us September 26-28 in Arlington, Va.,  for the  return of  AGC's Leadership in Construction Workshop. This popular workshop focuses on the Dynamics of Leadership, in which participants:
  • Examine the concept of change
  • Illustrate different styles of using influence to achieve a goal
  • Analyze an effective model for conflict resolution
  • Identify 10 keys to empowering employees
  • Analyze intrinsic and extrinsic factors in motivation
At AGC’s Leadership in Construction Workshop, participants discover their personal leadership style and how to work with and communicate with people who have different approaches. This is accomplished through various team activities and a series of personal assessments, including a 360 survey to identify how their manager, direct reports and peers interpret their performance. Participants leave with a detailed, practical action plan for implementing the new communication strategies. Participant Profile Registration is open to all individuals in the construction industry who direct or influence other personnel to meet project goals. This workshop is designed for a small number of participants; please apply early. More information and online registration is available here. Continuing Education Notice AGC’s Leadership in Construction Workshop offers participants the opportunity to earn 2.7 IACET CEUs. Participants who wish to earn CEUs for this program are expected to arrive on time, attend the program from start to finish, complete the evaluation and complete the post-program online exam with a score of 75 percent or greater.
