AGC's BIM Education Program AGC’s BIM Education Program provides contractors with the building blocks they need to successfully implement BIM on their projects and within their firms. BIM isn’t just a technology—it’s a process. The four courses, BIM 101: An Introduction to Building Information Modeling, BIM Technology, BIM Contract Negotiation and Risk Allocation, and BIM Process, Adoption, and Integration build on each other to provide industry-tried best practices. CM-BIM The Certificate in Management—Building Information Modeling (CM-BIM) is an assessment-based certificate credential that denotes knowledge and understanding of concepts related to BIM adoption, practice and process transformation outlined in the AGC BIM Education Program. Individuals are required to successfully complete all four BIM Education Program courses and pass the CM-BIM exam. Successful candidates will carry the CM-BIM designation. The CM-BIM exam will be offered at participating AGC Chapters beginning in July 2011. More information can be found at www.agc.org/CM-BIM. BIMForum AGC’s BIMForum is held three times a year across the country as an opportunity for individuals to learn the latest and greatest of BIM connect with others moving on the same path. The mission of the BIMForum is to encourage increased collaboration to the project delivery process in the AEC industry by facilitating the adoption and use of BIM technology and processes through education and the promotion of enabling technologies and methods.
