2012 Workforce Development Award Competition

The Construction Users Roundtable is now accepting applications for its 2012 Workforce Development Awards, designed to provide recognition for extraordinary, exemplary, and innovative training and education programs that encourage individuals to pursue a career in the construction industry and/or enhance an individual’s construction skills. Winners will be selected based on program scope, innovation, creativity and best practices implemented to achieve measurable results. The award will be a bronze statue of a skilled construction worker signifying the value of their contribution to the industry as well as the value of the program being recognized. Past winners have included the Mississippi Construction Education Foundation and the Alaska Construction Academies, both of which are sponsored, in part, by their respective AGC chapter. Deadline for submissions is July 13, 2012. Winners will be notified in September. The awards will be presented on Nov. 13, 2012, during the CURT National Conference, to be held in Orlando, Fla. Complete information and the application are available online.
