Call for Presentations for AGC's 2013 Environmental Contractors Conference

If your Chapter has had a good experience with a speaker on environmental issues, please let them know about AGC’s 2013 Contractors Environmental Conference: Compliant. Competitive. Cost-Effective.  AGC will hold this second national conference in early June 2013, in Crystal City, Va., right outside of Washington, D.C. We invite presentation proposals for compelling educational sessions on environmental issues geared towards construction professionals.  What Are the Topics AGC Wants Presented at the Conference? We have suggested a few topics in the Call for Presentations and Proposal Guidelines; though, we welcome proposals for presentations on the breadth of environmental topics that affect the construction industry---from green buildings, roads and other infrastructure to compliance with environmental legal requirements. We also are looking for presentations on general best management practices, such as environmental ethics and leadership development for environmental professionals. Recognizing today’s challenging market, sessions should support the dual objectives of helping participants meet environmental requirements efficiently and hone their competitiveness in the marketplace. How Do Interested Speakers Submit Proposals? AGC asks all potential speakers to read the Call for Presentations and Proposal Guidelines for complete information on how to submit the presentation proposal. Proposals are due by December 15, 2012. AGC has developed an easy-to-use online form to help with the submittal process. To complete and submit the online form, click here. Additional Questions? Interested speakers can contact Crystal Yates at yatesc@agc.org for questions on submitting presentation proposals. For questions related to the subjects to be covered at the conference and general conference information, please contact Melinda Tomaino at tomainom@agc.org.
