In 2011, AGC's Advanced Management Program went through a complete content review by industry experts and past participants. This year the program is at full capacity – marking the best attendance since 2008. Past attendee, Stacy Gamon from Arthur C. Dudley Contractors talked about his experience, “I found the program to be a great opportunity to meet people who deal with similar challenges on a day to day basis. Each of the individual courses and instructors were of the highest caliber and quality and covered topics that give a ‘big picture’ view of what makes a successful construction professional.” And Drew Floyd, Moretrench, who attended in 2009 said, “Many of the concepts that were covered I was able to implement immediately. Years later, I continue to benefit from the training.” Ideal candidates for AGC’s AMP are members of a firm’s senior management team. A minimum of ten years of construction experience or six years of construction experience and a Bachelors degree are required for acceptance. They are also eligible to receive up to 4.4 IACET/ANSI CEUs and 44 AIA LUs to aid in maintaining certifications and other continuing education requirements. Held at the world-renowned Cooper Center in Dallas, Texas, the program offers a holistic approach to training and wellness.
