AGC of America is pleased to announce that two hundred individuals have earned the Certificate of Management—Building Information Modeling (CM-BIM). Professionals located all over the nation have traveled to the 18 test centers to take their exam that earns them the professional accreditation, the Certificate of Management-Building Information Modeling (CM-BIM). The exam concludes the BIM Education Program, a series of four courses the association developed to help construction professionals learn how to use the construction process.
Individuals who had recently earned their CM-BIM designation listed many reasons why they chose to pursue it, including:
-Employer desired
-Individual satisfaction
-To win projects with BIM requirements
-Become a BIM Champion for my company
-Ability to stay current with the trends and ideas in an ever changing topic
As one CM-BIM designee explained, “Personally it was fulfilling to not only say I know BIM, but also to be recognized by an expert in the industry. As a company the designation lends credibility to what we do and why we do it when it comes to virtual construction and BIM and has opened the doors to new work opportunities. This is all part of delivering a complete package for our customers.”
