Lean Construction Unit 3: Lean Workstructuring Now Available!

Unit 3: Lean Workstructuring, in AGC’s Lean Construction Education Program is now available! Lean Workstructuring is a four-hour course that will be offered locally at AGC Chapters across the country. Following completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Apply the methods and tools utilized in pull planning
• Describe the concept of Lean Workstructuring
• Outline the desired products of Lean Workstructuring
• Describe the characteristics and application of the Last Planner^® System

Lean Workstructuring is the third course in the Lean Construction Education Program’s credentialing program. Unit 1: Variation in Production Systems and Unit 2: Pull in Production were released in early 2012. Future courses include:

• Unit 4: Production Management — Q2 2013
• Unit 5: Management by Values — Q2/3 2013
• Unit 6: Lean Supply Chain — Q3 2013
• Unit 7: Lean Assembly — Q1 2014
• Unit 8: Problem-Solving Principles and Tools — Q2 2014
