Worker Shortage in Construction Industry

The construction industry is facing a shortage of employable workers in several states including Florida, Texas, Iowa and Arizona and is expected to impact other states as the construction industry continues to strengthen. Due to the economy, many former construction workers have either retired, left the field or moved to different states to work odd jobs.  According to the Construction Users Roundtable, if this trend continues, by 2017 there could a 2 million commercial construction workers shortage.
