Stormwater Control Developments Highlighted at AGC Convention

A special Session on legal and regulatory developments related to stormwater control has been organized by the Highway and Transportation Division in conjunction with AGC’s Environmental Forum during AGC’s 94th Annual Convention. Stormwater, increasingly, is becoming the new focal point in environmental permitting debates and related litigation and federal enforcement.  In this session, participants will hear updates on two national stormwater rulemakings and three precedent-setting lawsuits that have bearing transportation construction projects and the entire construction industry. Participants also will learn how a federal priority for stormwater enforcement is impacting jobsites nationwide. Looking ahead at 2013 and beyond, it should be no surprise that stormwater disputes, although challenging to address, are now among the most pressing.  All convention attendees are encouraged to attend this session for a “need-to-know” analysis of the most complex stormwater issues faced by construction professionals today. The session is scheduled for Wednesday, March 6 at 10:30 am.
