Building Division Welcomes New Leadership

AGC of America hosted its 94th Annual Convention in Palm Springs, CA, March 6-9, 2013.  The Convention was extremely successful with over 2,000 attendees and offering many educational and networking opportunities.  With the close of the Convention, the Building Division welcomed new leadership for the 2013-2014 year.  Eric Hedlund, Executive VP & COO, Sundt Construction, Inc., becomes Chairman of the Building Division and Rick Andritsch, Partner/VP, VJS Construction Services becomes Vice Chairman.  Terry Wooding, Executive VP, Petra Construction Corporation becomes Immediate Past Chairman.  Phil Beck, Partner, Smith Currie & Hancock, LLC becomes the Contract Documents Forum chair. The AGC Building Division sponsored a session titled Catching the Upturn: Ensuring Your Organization is Prepared to Return to Prosperity presented by Rusty Sherwood from the FMI Center for Strategic Leadership.  Given the state of the economy, many companies are focusing on the short-term in order to survive the recession.  With the economy slowly improving this program covered the key steps companies need to take to ensure long-term success post economic downturn.  AGC would like to thank FMI’s Rusty Sherwood and all who attended the session.
