IACET Grants AGC’s Approved Provider Renewal

The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) is pleased to announce that it has renewed its Authorized Provider status by the prestigious International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). While many organizations offer some form of continuing education credit, only Authorized Providers can award the IACET CEU. IACET Authorized Providers are required to re-apply and be reauthorized every five (5) years. Over the years, the IACET CEU has evolved and is recognized as a hallmark of quality training and instruction. The Continuing Education Unit (CEU) was created by IACET as a measurement of learning. One IACET CEU is equal to ten (10) contact hours of participation in an organized and planned continuing education experience. Continuing education is often a requirement for maintenance of professional licensure, professional credentials or certification, or employment.  The IACET CEU is accepted by hundreds of organizations including AIA, AIC, CFMA, PMI and State Boards of Engineering.  To obtain a full listing, please visit the IACET website {link: http://www.iacet.org/who-accepts-the-iacet-ceu-g-see-a-list} . AGC will continue to offer the IACET CEU at marquee events such as the Construction Project Managers Course (PMC), Advanced Management Program (AMP), AGC Annual Convention and numerous webinar offerings. Learners can trust the IACET Authorized Provider's status because they know that they had to complete an extensive renewal application process, demonstrate adherence to all ANSI/IACET Standards and undergo a comprehensive audit and onsite evaluation. “Education is critical to enabling our members to keep up with ever-changing construction technologies and techniques,” said Stephen Sandherr, the construction association’s chief executive officer.  “This renewed partnership demonstrates our commitment to providing the highest quality education and training programs possible.”
