Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship Report and Video

The U.S. Secretary of Labor’s Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship (ACA) spent more than a year creating a report called “21st Century Registered Apprenticeship: A Shared Vision for Increasing Opportunity, Innovation, and Competitiveness for American Workers and Employers.” The report highlights Registered Apprenticeship as a critical and timely solution to the nation’s workforce, economic, and education challenges; and to encourage the state, regional, and local leaders and the public workforce system to utilize the vision report as a resource for supporting apprenticeship opportunities in their own communities. The ACA also recently provided video testimonials on the importance of the 21st Century Vision for Apprenticeship and how it will help serve the needs of U.S. workers, employers and industries.  The video a includes an opening from the Assistant Secretary for the Employment and Training Administration Eric Seleznow and can be viewed online. Liz Elvin, AGC Senior Director for Workforce and Education Advancement, sits on the ACA and participated in the creation of the report and is featured on the video.
