Construction Industry’s Election Fund Also Provides the Maximum Contribution to Support the Mullin and Frix Campaigns Noting Their Strong Mix of Private Sector and Legislative Experience
The Associated General Contractors of America Political Action Committee, also known as the AGC PAC, announced today that it has endorsed Markwayne Mullin for the United States Senate and Avery Frix for the United States House of Representatives. AGC PAC officials said they are supporting the Mullin and Frix campaigns because of their strong commitment to the construction industry in Oklahoma.
“Markwayne Mullin’s and Avery Frix’s experience in the construction industry along with their proven track record of fighting unreasonable regulations, supporting much-needed tax reforms, and pursuing common sense, practical policies our country needs to remain strong and secure make them effective and valuable voices for the construction industry in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives,” said Stephen E. Sandherr, the association’s chief executive officer. “They have the experience and track record – in business and in elected office – to stand up and fight for what is right when it comes to protecting our economy, our workers, and our country.”
In addition to endorsing U.S. Representative Mullin and State Representative Frix, AGC PAC contributed the maximum amount of $5,000 to each campaign’s primary runoff election effort. AGC PAC is also encouraging the association’s members in Oklahoma and its 2nd Congressional District to help turn out the construction vote in support of them in the election on August 23, 2022.
AGC is the association for the commercial construction industry, with over 500 member companies in the AGC of Oklahoma Building Chapter, Association of Oklahoma General Contractors, and Oklahoma Municipal Contractors Association, representing general and specialty contractors, service providers, and suppliers. This endorsement comes from AGC PAC, the national association’s political action committee.
