Iowa’s Department of Administration Services (DAS) has begun using standard contract documents developed by ConsensusDocs as the basis for its building contracts.  The state agency, which typically oversees 200 projects and $200 million worth of construction projects annually, is the latest in a series of construction owners to embrace the contract documents.
The Associated General Contractors of America will hold its 94th Annual Convention on March 6-9, 2013, at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort in Palm Springs, Calif. AGC is now accepting proposals for a limited number of speaking opportunities.

The ConsensusDOCS 752 – Subcontract for Federal Government Construction Projects was created specifically to assist contractors and subcontractors comply with new and complex federal laws and regulations.  The ConsensusDOCS Federal Subcontract is the only standard agreement that addresses the terms and conditions essential to comply with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (“FAR”).  Even seasoned federal government contractors, but especially contractors new to the federal market, should consider using this contract when subcontracting Federal work.
