Build Up Kits

Educational kits designed to promote construction industry awareness among elementary-age children through hands-on activities, team projects, and individual work. Fifth-grade students meet academic requirements in math, science, history and the language arts while learning about the construction industry.

ACE Mentor Program of Greater Kansas City

Introduces high school students to career opportunities in the architecture, construction and engineering industries. Students meet weekly with mentors, desigining projects, touring construction sites and completing hands-on solutions to real world challenges. Team projects involve AutoCAD and activities with a special focus on enhancing math, physics and economics skills. This program also sponsors scholarships for active student participants.

Block Kids Building Program

A national building program competition that is sponsored primarily by local NAWIC chapters. It provides an introduction to the construction industry through a hands-on building project. The competitions progresses from local to regional to national.
